What is a sample wedding dress? A sample wedding dress is a designer gown that was previously part of a bridal boutique’s in-store collection for brides to try on during appointments. Our sample gowns come from our sister boutiques across the country and are offered at reduced prices to make room for new collections.
What does off-the-rack mean? Off-the-rack means the gown you try on is the gown you purchase! Instead of placing a made-to-order gown and waiting several months for it to arrive, you’ll take your wedding dress home with you after saying yes.
What designers do you carry? Our inventory is constantly changing and features wedding dresses from a variety of sought-after bridal designers. Because every gown is one-of-a-kind inventory, designers and styles available in store can change frequently. Browse our current gowns online for the most up-to-date selection.
What sizes do you carry? Our collection includes a range of bridal sizes, but because each sample gown is unique, available sizes vary. You can browse our current inventory online by size or contact our team before your appointment if you’re looking for something specific.
Do I need an appointment? Appointments are preferred and encouraged to ensure a dedicated stylist and bridal suite are available for your shopping experience. While we’re happy to welcome walk-ins when availability allows, we recommend scheduling an appointment to guarantee your shopping time. If a stylist or bridal suite isn’t available when you arrive, we’ll be happy to schedule you for our next available appointment!
Can I take my wedding dress home the same day? Yes! That’s one of the best parts of shopping off-the-rack. Once you say yes and complete your purchase, your wedding dress is yours to take home—no traditional ordering or designer production timeline required.
Is The Sample Shoppe the same as The White Magnolia? The Sample Shoppe is its own off-the-rack bridal boutique and a sister brand to The White Magnolia and Magnolia Laine. Our collection features designer sample gowns sourced from our sister bridal boutiques across the country, giving each dress a new opportunity to find its bride at The Sample Shoppe.
How often do you get new wedding dresses? New gowns arrive regularly from our sister bridal boutiques, which means our inventory is always changing. If you love a gown, don’t wait too long—our sample dresses are typically one-of-a-kind inventory, and once a gown is gone, it’s gone!
Can I bring food and drinks? We kindly ask that outside food or drinks, including alcohol, not be brought into the shop. This helps us keep our gowns in beautiful condition for all brides and allows your stylist to focus entirely on you and your dress-shopping experience. When you find your gown, a celebratory champagne toast is often part of the moment, though availability may vary by location due to local regulations.
